Assessment: Demonstrate abilities, create awareness of competence
Understanding Assessment...
...as a tool for diagnosing managerial and leadership comptence - it can be a great positive experience for participants if:
- They can perform in a professional context (scenario),
- They need to face challenging situations and assignments,
- The observation is fair, objective and potential oriented,
- The feedback focusses on competencies and behaviours ,
- Strengths and areas for development are revealed in a constructive and motivational manner.
Together with colleagues, we have been offering assessments for recruiting / selection or developmental purposes,
for individuals or groups,
ONLINE or ONSITE.
Conceptual work
For several years, I have worked with clients from different industry sectors to develop assessment materials such as:
- Scenarios
- Exercises / role-plays including assignments for candidates and assessors
- Evaluation and administration material (scoring sheets, schedules, competency matrix, exercise matrix, results matrix, report format)
- Assessor training (competency-based observation)

Assessment: Delivery - Lets find the best solution for your purposes
Online Onsite
Online Assessments offer the following benefits:
- Minimal costs for travelling and facilities,
- Less infrastructure needed,
- Online simulation may be closer to day to day business,
- Role-plays and exercises can be as effectively performed online as onsite
- Same logistical efforts as with assessments onsite.
Assessments onsite have an added value because:
- Participants get to know each other more directly,
- Participants experience interaction more intensely,
- Participants are more in move,
- Participants are taken out of their office context,
- Participants can have exchange with peers,
- Participants can create a different self-awareness
