Actual Work
After a long international journey that took me around the globe, I settled down as a free-lance consultant for strategic personnel development, assessment and coaching, based in Rottweil, Germany.
Following my passion for suporting individuals in connecting to their power and talent for the sake of developing personal and professional competence,
I mainly engage in leadership development i.e. assessment and coaching, or workshops on understanding the role as a leader.
In addition I started lecturing (Export Akademie Baden Württemberg, Hochschule für Technikg Stuttgart, Institut für angewandte Psychologie IAP Zürich)
To enhance competence, my own one and in others,
I embraced the challenge of writing training and teaching material for postgraduate courses (SGD Studiengemeinschaft Darmstadt, iubh Internationale Hochschule Fernstudium).

Experience
Starting as a trainer in a trend-setting German consultancy in Tübingen, after a couple of years I joined one of the global market leaders in assessment and leadership development Personnel Decisions International Ltd., changing seven years later to Saville&Holdsworth Ltd., also known as global player especially for its psychometric products like the OPQ, before I started working on my own as a free-lance consultant.
My professional journey has given me the great opportunity to work for many industries in the private sector (automotive, consumer goods, pharmaceutical industry, insurances, banking, telecommunication, etc.) as well as for organisations in the civil services and the UN-world, enabling me to develop a broad understanding of the complexity of organisational structures in different cultures across the globe. This rich experience, with all
its successes and set-backs, brought me to deep insights and learnings about job requirements and challenges on all managerial and leadership levels, as well as unimagined experience of cultural diversity.
Over the years I realised that my initial drive to study and develop competence for myself as well as in others, people and organisations, is like working on foundations. I realised that one element of organisational success is people's competence, their motivation to learn and unfold their potential, to shape it for professional, organisational and personal achievement.
Another learning was that competence can also show in allowing Not-to-Know. Understanding competence as bundling of abilities and skills in order to create an adequate response to a situation for the sake of achieving positive results, it takes time to consider, weigh and evaluate which competencies are needed for what needs to be done. In situations of change, it may be a great quality, to engage in observing, watching and waiting until the NEW starts constellating and it becomes clear, what can be an adequate and competent response.
Apart from my professional expertise and experience, this Not-Knowing has become part of my coaching and consulting approach, enabling me to give space to my clients to express their needs and demands, and walk together the way while shaping an adequate and competent response based on our expertise and experience. It helps me create a professional space for my coachees to bring up their context, unfold their potential, discover their abilities and bundle them to competence before they start action.
